Saga Ruby, joined the fleet in 2005 just after recieving an extensive £17 million refit. The Ruby has proved herself a big hit with the Saga passengers who have cruised aboard her. This success comes as no suprise as the Saga Ruby's wide-open decks and spacious interior complement the exceptional service, delicious cusine and excellent facilities. |

Your days aboard the Saga Ruby are tailored for pleasure. Her extensive renovation and new furnishings have given the ship an elegant yet contemporary feel. The well-appointed public rooms and bars allow you to mingle with other passengers and relax whilst enjoying the varied entertainment. Her newly expanded Lido Cafe has a Mediterranean feel and is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the scenery through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The new developments include the luxurious Aquarius Spa with its indoor pool, steam room and hair salon. The Saga Ruby holds a high ratio of 380 crew to 655 passengers on board, this leads to exemplary service. There is a host of entertainment, educational and leisure facilities on hand. All that is left at the end of the day is to retire to your comfortable cabin with its sumptuous fabrics and quality furnishings. |

Cabins
The cabins aboard Saga Ruby have been refurbished in calming colour schemes such as blues, greens or golds, depending on which deck they are on, all creating a warm, comfortable ambience. Flat screen televisions ensure high picture quality films and programmes, as well as maximising space in the cabins, while innovative wall-mounted lamps featuring a pull down flexi lamp, which are perfect for reading. |

You can choose a single, double or twin-bedded cabin. We also offer beautifully-appointed suites, some with connecting doors to transform your suite into a two-room cabin with separate sitting room, as well as deluxe cabins with their own seating area.
Each cabin features a generous closet and adequate storage space, a vanity/desk, television, and hairdryer. Most cabins have a small sitting area and a bathtub in addition to a shower. Robes are provided for use during the cruise, as are bathroom toiletries. |

Dining
Fine dining is an essential part of your Saga cruise. The outstanding ratio of crew to passengers ensures the best service and our team of chefs work tirelessly to ensure the food is of the highest standard, cooked to perfection. A variety of dishes are served so all tastes are catered for and only top quality and fresh ingredients are used. |

| One is spoilt for choice on places to dine. You can have breakfast and lunch in the main restaurant or you may prefer to help yourself to the buffet in the Lido Café. When the weather permits, you can dine alfresco on the Lido Deck so that you can enjoy the sunshine and fresh air while you eat.
Dinner is served in one leisurely sitting, and you can choose to eat either in the main Dining Room or perhaps savour the more intimate atmosphere of the View restaurant. There are also other great cruising traditions such as afternoon tea and the midnight buffet, which is served in the Lido Café. 24-hour room service is also available, so you can enjoy refreshments in your cabin at any time.

Activities
The diverse range of activities and facilities aboard Saga Ruby to ensure that your days at sea are as equally gripping and exciting as the ports that you visit. Throughout your cruise, we offer a diverse range of lectures given by eminent figures from public life, dancing lessons, games such as shuffleboard and bridge and a diverse range of evening entertainment.
Some of the most well attended daytime activities aboard Saga Ruby are the lectures given by expert guest speakers. Enjoy revealing talks given by leading public figures on a range of topics from politics, journalism and art, to food and drink.
You can e-mail your friends and family from the Open Learning Centre or visit the well-stocked library, where you will find a wealth of reading material. Research your next port of call or choose a thriller or a romantic novel to read on deck. |

If you are feeling energetic, there is a wide range of facilities to keep even the most active of people happy. Perhaps join a gentle exercise class in the morning, take a dip in the swimming pool or work out in the fully-equipped gymnasium. A new addition to the activities is a golf simulator, ideal for perfecting that swing. You can even book a one-to-one fitness session with the personal trainer.
In the evening you can watch West End style shows and cabarets, sit back with a cocktail in the classic South Cape Bar, or just enjoy the relaxing ambience of the onboard cinema. |
